Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the VSL Packaging website (www.vslpackaging.com) or engaging our custom packaging services, you agree to these Terms of Service. VSL Packaging is a sister brand of Varick Street Litho, Inc., located at 239 West 29th Street, Ground Floor, New York, NY 10001.

2. Services

VSL Packaging provides custom packaging services including custom boxes (folding cartons, rigid boxes, corrugated boxes, and mailers), retail bags, point-of-purchase displays, and shippers, along with structural and graphic packaging design, 3D rendering, prototyping, proofing, and finishing (embossing, debossing, foil stamping, spot UV, and matte, gloss, and satin coatings). Service availability, pricing, and turnaround times are subject to change.

3. Orders and Quotes

• All quotes are estimates and valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
• Final pricing may vary based on file specifications, material and board stock availability, and project complexity.
• Orders are confirmed upon written approval of proof and receipt of payment or credit approval.
• Rush orders are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

4. File Submission

• Clients are responsible for submitting production-ready artwork prepared to the approved dieline and our prepress specifications.
• VSL Packaging offers in-house design, dieline, and prepress preparation services.
• We are not responsible for errors in client-supplied files that were approved at proof stage.
• Uploaded files are stored securely and deleted after order completion unless archival is requested.

5. Proofs and Approval

Digital proofs — and physical prototypes where quoted — are provided for client approval before production. Once a proof is approved, VSL Packaging is not liable for errors present in the approved proof. Press checks are available by appointment and arranged through your project manager.

6. Payment Terms

• New clients: Payment due upon order placement or 50% deposit with balance due upon completion.
• Established accounts: Net 30 terms available upon credit approval.
• We accept cash, check, credit card, and wire transfer.
• Past-due accounts may incur a 1.5% monthly finance charge.

7. Delivery and Shipping

• Delivery dates are estimates; VSL Packaging is not liable for delays caused by weather, carrier issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
• Shipping charges are the responsibility of the client unless otherwise agreed.

8. Remakes and Claims

If finished packaging does not match the approved proof due to our error, VSL Packaging will remake the order at no charge. Claims must be made within 5 business days of delivery. We do not accept returns for orders that match the approved proof.

9. Intellectual Property

Clients represent that they have the right to reproduce all content submitted for production. VSL Packaging is not responsible for copyright or trademark infringement in client-supplied materials. We reserve the right to decline orders containing unlawful content.

10. Limitation of Liability

VSL Packaging's liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific order in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

11. Website Use

The content on www.vslpackaging.com is for informational purposes. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee that all information is current or error-free. Portfolio images are used with client permission. Interactive tools such as the Packaging Studio are provided for planning purposes; final dimensions, structures, and pricing are confirmed during quoting and proofing.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New York County, New York.

13. Changes to Terms

VSL Packaging reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect upon posting to this page. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
